Parents of Brightwell School work hard to organise social events for families and children and also to raise money for the school.

In December 2016, following a meeting with Mr Burrows, the Fobs committee advised you that we were taking a break from the usual busy fundraising schedule and that the Christmas Fair would be the last Fobs event for a while. With lots of support the Christmas Fair was not only a fundraising success raising over £1,000 but a very enjoyable evening too.

Events like these are well attended and raise much awareness about what Fobs do; however there is lots more happening too – even during a break. Since the start of this academic year Fobs have continued to arrange and support events that benefit the children of Brightwell School:

September - £1000 donation to the school for outdoor/play equipment.

October – Spooky Disco

November – George’s Marvellous Medicine Theatre Trip.

December – Christmas Fair

April – Easter Egg Hunt.

April – Leaving card and gifts bought for Mr Burrows

May/June – Leavers hoodies arranged and bought for our 12 Year 6 leavers.

July - Contribution towards "Atomic Science", enrichment experience for all children in STEM week

1st July – Support the Village Fete with Ice Cream Sales (help still required)

Fobs have also been supported by Stephanie Di Massa and Ali Turner with their ‘Pop up’ Ice Cream and Uniform Sales, thank you both.

We are currently working with Mrs Lewis to ensure that the good work of Fobs continues to support the school and provide fun events for the children. If you have any suggestions/questions please let us know
