Wrap Around Care 

At Brightwell, we are delighted to be able to offer both before and after school care for children in all year groups through our in-house Breakfast Club and Get Active Sports' After School Club. 

Our wrap around care is a great opportunity for children to socialise, increase independence and make new friend, with our older children often supporting and encouraging the younger ones!

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club opens from 7.45am every Monday to Friday and provides your child with a healthy breakfast, chat with friends and a choice of activities before the school day starts.

A wide variety of breakfast options is available to choose from, including cereals, toast and spreads, waffles, yoghurt, fruit, milk and water, all served until 8.15am.

Breakfast is then followed by a child-initiated activity - in the warmer months, the children may go outside for a short while, while in the colder, darker months they will have access to a variety of different indoor activities including puzzles and board games before our adults ensure each child arrives safely at their classroom.

If your child would like to join us at our breakfast club, either as a regular attendee or on an ad-hoc basis, please make your booking by completing the form below and returning it to the school office. Families will be notified by ParentMail when they become available.

After School Club

Our wraparound care sessions promise to provide your children with a wide range of stimulating multi sports, creative activities, team games, themed arts and crafts and a whole host of imaginative things to make and do! 

Whether your child likes to play dodgeball, football, cricket, badminton OR loves being creative and making different crafts, we guarantee we have something everyone will enjoy. 

Please note that our Active Care settings are only for children attending the school, who are in reception and above. Children will be returned to and collected from their class at the start/end of school registration and escorted to our club within the school building. 

Bookings are available online until 9am on the day of the session. Please call our office on 01344 860868 to book after this time.

Prices & Times 

3pm-4pm: Afterschool Club Short Session - Includes a snack - £7.95 per day 

4pm - 6pm: Afterschool Club Medium Session - Includes a meal - £9.20 per day  

3pm-6pm: Afterschool Club Long Session - Includes small snack & larger snack around 5pm - £14.35 per day

What to bring: 

Please bring suitable clothing for the weather as we play outside every session.

Short After School Session – Snack included: selection of breadsticks, fresh fruit and veg, crackers and yoghurts

Long After School Session – Snack and large snack included: selection of wraps, bagels and sandwiches with various poultry and dairy fillings. Fresh fruit, veg, breadsticks and crackers available.

SEN and Inclusion 

It is important that we are fully informed of any child with additional needs so we can support them in the best way possible. The best way to do this is via the online booking and registration and a call/email to our Head Office. If your child requires 1 to 1 support, we need as much notice as possible in order for you to contact your Local Authority to apply for funding. Get Active Sports are unfortunately unable to provide internal 1:1 support.

Please call our office on 01344 860868 where you will be provided with a SEN enquiry form. Once we have received this we will be able to take the next steps in putting support in place for your child at our provision.

Cancellations and amendments 

We are more than happy to make any amendment to your booking with 48 hours notice.

Should your child not be able to attend a session due to sickness or injury, we require a valid doctor’s note for a credit/transfer.
